As part of the private pre-Olympic Pipe Camp the BAGJUMP has been set up at Cardrona Alpine Resort, the first time it has been used in New Zealand. The 15m x 15m BAGJUMP Ample, a multi-chambered airbag set up by the Japanese national team is being used by German, Canadian, American and Kiwi riders practicing new freestyle moves and double tricks, valuable training in the lead up to Vancouver 2010!
The “Bagjump” allows snowboarders, skiers and pretty much any sport where gravity is an issue to go hard without fear of waking up in hospital.
Professionals from all over the World came to this session to get their double tricks dialed for the Olypmics in Vancouver 2010. Pros like: Danny Kass, Torah Bright, Kazuhiro Kokobu, Daisuke, James Hamilton, Jossy Wells, Ethan Morgan, Christophe Schmidt and may more enjoyed their Bagjump Halfpipe practice!
The Bagjump is being used all around the world, but this is the first time it's been in New Zealand. And national teams from Australia, Canada, Japan and the US have all rocked up to make the most of the new practice and fun tool.
